Privacy notice
Updated September 28, 2026
This notice covers the Jay Jardosh campaign website and messages sent to the campaign.
Contacting the campaign
When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and message. We use these to respond and handle your enquiry. The form requires a name, email address and message. Please share only information needed for your enquiry. Sending a message does not subscribe you to campaign updates or give permission to publish your message.
Our contact form uses FormSubmit to process submissions and forward them to council@jayjardosh.ca, hosted by Zoho Mail. FormSubmit receives the information you submit and technical information needed to deliver messages and prevent spam. FormSubmit states that it retains form submissions for 30 days. We do not save a separate copy in the website’s database or browser storage. Your message remains in our mailbox for as long as needed to respond or meet applicable obligations.
FormSubmit and its service providers may process information outside Canada. See FormSubmit’s privacy terms and submission retention information. If you prefer not to use FormSubmit, you can email the campaign directly.
Use, access and retention
We limit access to people and service providers who need it for the stated purpose. We do not sell your information. Other uses or disclosures require your consent unless permitted or required by law. We retain information only as needed for its purpose or legal obligations, then securely delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable safeguards against unauthorized access, use or disclosure.
Website services and Facebook
The website has no donation or signup form. Hosting and email providers may process technical information, including IP addresses and service logs. The home page loads fonts from Google, which receives a connection from your browser.
The home page automatically loads a Facebook feed. This connects your browser to Facebook, provided by Meta, which may receive your IP address, use cookies and associate activity with your Facebook account. Your browser’s privacy settings may limit or block this content. Visiting the Facebook page also takes you to that service. See Facebook’s privacy policy.
Your choices and questions
Contact Jay Jardosh, campaign privacy contact, at council@jayjardosh.ca to request access or corrections, withdraw consent for future optional uses, or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity. Legal exceptions and recordkeeping obligations may limit what can be deleted or disclosed.
If your concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
